Leave a Legacy through
Extend your support for Habitat for Humanity of Lenawee and make a lasting impact on families in need of a decent and affordable place to call home.
Whether you would like to put your donation to work today or benefit families after your lifetime, you can find a plan that fits your needs. Together, we can develop a plan that lets you provide for your family while helping other families through our charitable bequest program.
A gift in your will or revocable trust can deliver a lasting gift to Habitat that will impact many lives to come. This can be a perfect solution if you do not have the means to make your gift today but would like to make an impact tomorrow. There is sample language available for your use in the link above.
Direct your IRA plan administrator to distribute your preferred amount to Habitat. If you are 70 1/2 years old or older, this distribution is tax-free for up to $100,000 for one calendar year.
Gifts of Property
To reach our community development goals, we encourage the donation of any real estate, including:
- Vacant lots or land
- Homes in need of repair
- Condemned sites that must be razed
- Commercial properties
You can make this generous gift while still using the property throughout your lifetime, and you may even receive a tax deduction for your contribution.
For more information about donating land, please contact Wendy Knox at email@example.com or call Habitat at 517-265-6157.
Charitable Gift Annuity
A charitable gift annuity is a way of giving to Habitat while still receiving a lifetime stream of annual income. You transfer your cash or property to Habitat, and we promise to make fixed payments to you for life at a rate based on your age.
Contact Carrie Hartley at 517-265-6157 for more information.
Naming Habitat as your retirement plan beneficiary is also a simple way of ensuring your impact.
This can be a solution if you do not have the means to make your gift today but would like to make an impact tomorrow.
Contact Carrie Hartley, CFRE at 517-265-6157 or firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or to discuss your giving options further.
