Construction

Ready to be part of something special and build a house from the ground up? Then we’re ready for you!

Lenawee Habitat homes are built primarily with volunteer labor. Habitat build days are an opportunity to see our mission come to life, as we put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, community and hope.

Habitat builds offer volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups, on weekends and weekdays, for the novice or the pro. So whether you’re a retired construction worker who isn’t quite ready to hang up the hammer, or a busy mom who wants to squeeze in some service on a weekend, we have a place for you—working side-by-side with a future homeowner as they work to build a more secure future.

Saturday build days are a popular way for newcomers to get involved, and are also great for those who can only volunteer occasionally. Saturday builds begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 4 p.m.

We are always looking for weekday volunteers. Our weekday builds are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Weekday builds are also a popular opportunity for volunteer groups.

If you’re ready to build with us, sign up for available opportunities now! If you have any questions, please contact us at volunteer@habitat-lenawee.org.  For youth volunteers, please check our age requirements or learn more about our group volunteer opportunities.  All volunteers need to complete and sign a waiver of liability form each calendar year.
